Course Overview

PAR 72

Length 5966m (men) - Slope 121

Length 5022m (women) - Slope 117

1st Hole

The first hole is a fairly generous opening hole.  Take a driver or fairway wood down the right hand side of the fairway and the ball will feed back to the middle.

Note: - Out of Bounds all the way down the left and greenside bunkers at the front of the green

2nd Hole

This hole is longer than it appears, so get a good drive away.  Be aware, it is out of bounds all the way up the left hand side.  Any drives that hit right of centre will feed further to the right and may find trouble in the trees.  Hint - take an extra club on your approach shot, the inlcine is deceptive and the green is well protected by 2 front greenside bunkers.

3rd Hole

A tricky Par 5 with a bunch of options.  It can be reached in two, but beware it is out of bounds all the way down the left hand side and behind the green.  In the Summer a drive left of the fairway will go out of bounds.  To attack the hole either shape your drive from left to right around the big tree on the right, or ideally take a straight drive straight over the top of the big tree.  If your drive makes the bottom of the hill you will be in the go zone.  If not, take your favourite straight hitting club and tap it over the rise.  From here it is a simple down hill short approach shot to a large green.

4th Hole

Arguably the toughest hole on the golf course, the 4th hole is a real tester. Long ....... Straight Up Hill ....... a Two Tiered Green ........ and a well placed golf ball catching pine to the right of the green.  On the way down the 3rd have a sneak peak at the 4th green and note the flag location (top or bottom).  Take an extra club, or maybe two, hit it long and straight and land it softly on the correct tier ........... good luck!

5th Hole

A short par 4 with a right to left dog leg. The green can be reached in one by the big hitters, but once again there is out of bounds to contend with all the way down the left. The easiest way to play the hole is to take a fairway wood or long iron off the tee and knock it just right of centre.  The ball will feed around to the left and leave a short iron to the green.  The approach can be tricky, the ball will be above your feet for the right handers and below your feet for the lefties ............ aaaah ......... shank teritory.  If you are going to miss this green, miss it short.  Miss to the left and you may be unlucky enough to have it bounce of out bounds.  Miss to the right or behind the green and the chip shot is tight.

6th Hole

The easiest hole on the golf course.  This short par 3 requires a short iron straight up the hill.  Land it close on the generous green and it should stop.  On the way down the 5th fairway have a peak at the 6th green and note the pin location.

7th Hole

The 7th is a long par 5 that is slightly up hill all the way.  Only the longest hitters will get to this one in two shots.  There is not a lot of trouble off the tee once you get through the narrow opening.  The toughest part of the 7th is the long sloping green.  Have a good look at the pin location as there is a 3 club difference between the front of the green and the back of it.

8th Hole

A long par 4, the 8th can prove difficult to reach in two when the wind gets up.  A generous fairway allows for a big drive.  Take the drive down the left hand side of the fairway for maximium roll and distance.  The green is generous to hit, but difficult to putt on, with some big slopes and some miss leading rolls.  Avoid missing the green to the right.

9th Hole

The 9th is a short par 4 with a tight left to right dog leg.  Long hitters can take the drive just left of the corner.  Shorter hitters should aim left of the corner to ensure an unobstructed look at the green for the approach shot. Take an extra club up the hill to the generous green.
